PIP PEPPER: PARK PLANNER
JUST PLAY
Pip Pepper: Park Planner is a cozy park-management, strategy game in which the player tasked with building a public park for animals.
The game is an interactive playground, providing a space to explore community participation in the design of public spaces. It considers the ways in which ideas of justice and design can be used to include (or exclude) humans and wildlife when considering land use.
The game won the grand prize at the Just Play award ceremony at South by South West 2024. It also won an award for Design Achievement.
I was part of a two-person team, and I was responsible for concept, game design, narrative, research and writing.

As part of Digital Games For Peace I:
Designed and developed a playable prototype to be used in training by professionals working in prevention of violent extremism. I worked on concept, design, programming and writing in an interdisciplinary team under the mentorship of industry experts.
Took part in a game design, writing and development bootcamp.
Presented my game at a global public launch for Digital Games for Peace.
Worked with experts in game design, UI/UX, education and prevention of violent extremism to workshop how existing games can be used for peace efforts.
Was a speaker on a panel for Games for Peace titled: "Games in the 21st Century Classroom."
Was a speaker for UNESCO MGIEP's Twitter Space on Digital Games for Peace.
objection!
Objection! is a digitally playable card game made for the Rule of Law Innovation Challenge 2020 by Lawyers Without Borders.
A solo project in which I worked on all aspects of this project including design, research, development and prototyping.
The game was developed in response to a call for learning aids to assist with training prosecutors on evidentiary objections.
It won the award for Best Prototype and was selected to be used in their Counter-Terrorism Institute in Nairobi, Kenya.
Poisoned Penguins
Poisoned Penguins is s a cooperative card game for 3-5 players in which they play as a group of penguins surviving harsh environmental conditions.
This game was made in collaboration with young people at Tinderbox Collective's Games Club where I was a Games Tutor.
Tinderbox Collective is a community of young people, musicians, artists and youth workers, based in Scotland.
WRITING ON tHE WALL
A solo project about the separation wall in the West Bank. The player moves along the wall and interacts with the objects on the wall. It features poetry from contemporary Palestinian poets.
I worked across all aspects of this project including design, writing and programming on Godot.
The game was part of Free Palestine Game Jam and exhibited at the Hand Eye Society's Super Festival 2022.
